Working after a Holiday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July! The night before the Fourth Annie, B, N and I went out to dinner at Zeppo in Lake Oswego to celebrate my birthday. Afterwards we had to get dessert and there just happened to be a Fro-yo place next door.

Our fro-yo!
Annie and I both had a relaxing holiday. But I must say, heading back to work after a holiday is not easy. Especially one that requires you to stay up later than your usual bedtime.

Great minds must think alike because we each did our nails with a patriotic theme for the day.

My nails. Sorry this is the biggest pic I have.

Annie's nails.
Very fitting for the Fourth of July, I made Homemade Soft Pretzels on Sunday and they were delicious! They taste exactly like the ones you would get at a carnival or fair. I got the recipe from The Food Network.

Mixing the dough.
N helped me roll out the dough.

The finished product! Yum!

Annie tried out the recipe on Monday evening and here is one of her pretzels.
What did you do for the Fourth of July?

Xoxo,
Edna

thanks for the comment about my race. You should enable your email address to the comments so I can reply to your comments straight from email when I get the comment. That's how I converse with most of my blogger friends, or comment back!
I normally don't run a 7:30 pace if I am going for a regular run! I have been doing 9 minute miles but yeah the track coach has taught me how to 'race'. It's an uncomfortable pace for me but feels great after!
